I’m Too Cool for Twitter Shirt

Posted by BrentO On January - 31 - 2009

Okay, this one’s a little high-brow.

Subtle Twitter Shirt

Subtle Twitter Shirt

The shirt says: “Referencing a burgeoning micro-blogging social network on this culturally relevant t-shirt.”

Well, alrighty then.  This would be perfect to wear to the indie record shop, open mike night at your locally owned cafe, or to an intimate gathering of extremely well-educated friends at a university bookstore.

Pick it up from Zazzle for $19.50. As with all Zazzle shirts, you can pick and choose your shirt style, color, and so on.  The $19.50 version is an American Apparel short-sleeve t-shirt.

FailWhale Magnet

Posted by BrentO On January - 24 - 2009

Perfect for the fridge or the filing cabinet, it’s the FailWhale Magnet from Zazzle.  These go for around $4 and up, and you get discounts if you buy more than one.

It’s a little pricey, but it’d look great on the office fridge.  Or datacenter rack, that works too.  Or maybe a car that doesn’t start quite as often as you’d prefer.  Or that boat anchor of a laptop that they gave you at work.

We have not personally ordered magnets from Zazzle before, so your mileage may vary.  If you get one, let us know how the quality looks.

Twitter Mousepad – What Are You Doing?

Posted by BrentO On January - 24 - 2009

I gotta confess: I don’t really like mousepads. But I like this one – it’s simple, it’s iconic, and it makes me laugh.

Twitter Mousepad

Twitter Mousepad

This mousepad shows the Twitter status update screen asking, “What are you doing?” and reminds you that you have to answer in 140 characters or less.

You can buy the Twitter “What are you doing?” mousepad for $12.35 from Zazzle as of this writing.  (Zazzle puts their stuff on sale, so your mileage may vary.)

You can also get this design in a t-shirt as well.

@TweetJeebus T-Shirt

Posted by BrentO On January - 24 - 2009

WWTJD – as in, What Would @TweetJeebus Do?

What Would TweetJebus Do

What Would TweetJebus Do

@TweetJeebus is a satirical Twitter account for our Lord.  He posts things like:

  • Apologies to North America for the winter weather, by the way. Dad shook the snow globe a bit too hard this time.
  • Thinking seriously about doing the holidays in Rio this year, but that Christ the Redeemer statue makes me self-conscious about my height.
  • @Scobleizer the only one who keeps more naughty and nice lists than I do. You should see how he organizes his Friendfeed subscriptions.

Buy the @TweetJeebus t-shirt for $21.95 from Zazzle.

I Twittered Your Man

Posted by BrentO On January - 24 - 2009

I have a policy – I will only post shirts here that make me laugh or make me say, “I wish I’d thought of that.” This one wins on both counts!

I Twittered Your Husband

I Twittered Your Husband

I’ll keep an eye out for an “I Twittered Your Wife” shirt, but I doubt I’d wear it personally.  That kind of thing will get you shot.

You can buy the I Twittered Your Husband baby-doll t-shirt for $16.95 as of this writing.  (Prices at Zazzle can change – they run sales a lot.)  If you like the phrase but you want it on a different shirt, Zazzle lets you pick from all kinds of other styles, everything from sweatshirts to performance microfiber jogging shirts.

What happens in Vegas stays on Twitter

Posted by BrentO On January - 24 - 2009

What happens in Vegas doesn’t stay in Vegas if you drunk Tweet.  Friends don’t let friends drunk dial, drunk text or drunk Tweet.

What Happens In Vegas...

What Happens In Vegas...

Warn your buddies with the “What happens in Vegas stays on Twitter” shirt from Zazzle for $20.85 as of this writing.  You can knock a few bucks off if you choose a plain white shirt instead of the colored example shown here.

We’ve had great experience with Zazzle basic shirts – they are indeed a heavyweight cotton, often Hanes.  Sizes run just a little large, and they’re cut loosely for an easy fit.  If you prefer a more fitted shirt, consider using their “change shirt style” option to go with an American Apparel fitted t-shirt.

Fail Whale Coffee Cup

Thar she blows!

FailWhale Cup

FailWhale Cup

When Twitter fails, it usually shows a picture of the FailWhale.  The little birds that tweet are under too much load (the whale) and they can’t pull it off, so they go down.  It’s a funny graphical way of saying, “This site is under  maintenance.”

If your web site has been down a lot lately, give your webmaster or network guys some grief – buy them the FailWhale coffee mug for $15.85 from Zazzle as of this writing.

Retweet Me Shirt

Posted by BrentO On January - 24 - 2009

“RT ME: I have street cred on Twitter.”

RT Me Twitter Shirt

RT means ReTweet.  For example, if @SocialShirt said something funny, you’d Tweet:

RT @SocialShirt I'm too sexy
for this shirt.

That tells your followers that @SocialShirt originally said it, and you’re repeating it.

This shirt tells everybody that they’d best take note of what you’re saying.  You’re one of the Powers That Be.  The font is rough-and-tumble stencil-style.

The Twitter RT Me shirt is $15.95 at Zazzle in basic heavyweight cotton, and can be customized with long sleeves, different colors, ring necks, and more.  (Keep in mind that prices may change over time, but it’s $15.95 as of this writing.)
